Stocked up on Token Mechs
It wouldn’t be right to have my arcade run on anything but tokens. My fondest memories of the old Aladdin’s Castle located at the HIP (Harlem Irving Plaza), was putting in my dollar and getting a handful of tokens. Those cool, custom Aladdin’s Castle tokens. Most of the time it was just 4, but I remember the specials when you’d get 6! Those were the days. A smelly, smokey game room, flashing lights and arcade sounds and the token machine plinking out tokens in the background. It just didn’t get any better. It’s a little harder than I anticipated to convert all my games to take tokens. I chose .900 size, mostly because noice from KLOV had been running a special on them. Finding mechs that didn’t cost $15+ each was a chore. Luckily, peale, also from KLOV, saw my WTB post and PM’d me. I got a good deal and now I’m the happy owner of 20 “brownie” style coin control token mechs of the correct size. Well 19, as one of them got damaged in shipping. Not too bad and this should allow me to finish converting all my coin doors over to tokens.

Tokens is the way to go. It gives you the nostalgic kick of sliding in a coin, but doesn’t actually cost your players money. I’m going with the .984 tokens, keeping an eye out for someone wanting to offload a bunch cheap.
