CoinOpSpace
There has been a great deal of discussion over the years (yes, that’s y-e-a-r-s !) about the KLOV forum and its desperate need of an update. The general lack of functionality has been a real let down when you think about how great KLOV could have become. Recent activity on the forum provides a tiny glimmer of hope, but I’m tired of waiting. I want to participate in a forum that functions properly and will actually respond to member wants and needs. So where do we go? Luckily for us there is now a viable alternative, created by Jeff Rothe of Rotheblog fame, called CoinOpSpace. CoinOpSpace, or COSP, is an all-in-one arcade forum that allows users to interact in countless ways. You can create your own web page, add content to a game specific group, write a blog entry or post your photos. Admittedly I was a little overwhelmed at first by all the content opportunities and Jeff’s impressive attention to detail. Let’s face it, I was used to KLOV and the never changing format. All these new-fangled-doohickeys at CoinOpSpace makes this old timer a little jumpy. 
I’ve been slowly working my way through the new arcade forum, trying my best to contribute and get a feel for the site. I found that once you get used to the layout, it is easy to work with and engaging enough to bring you back for more. If enough members of the collecting community migrate over to COSP, I can see it becoming the vast resource that BYOAC has become. The search function actually works, the game groups are a fantastic way to add specialized content and the individual websites will create a whole other “realm” of valuable resources, easily accessible from one place. I’d encourage you to give it a try, add some content and stay awhile. You just might like it.
