PGN Fun center with the kids
Sunday, June 14th, 2009My oldest son turned seven a few days ago and I took him and one of his friends over to the PGN Jump N’ Fun Entertainment Center in Hickory Hills IL. It was on a Thursday afternoon and we practically had the place to ourselves. The boys wanted to start out in the party room, which is this giant space filled with plastic tunnels, net bridges, plastic ball ponds, slides, etc. Floor to ceiling fun for two seven year old boys. I sat around and twiddled my thumbs. After almost two hours they decided it was time to play some games. PGN has a pretty decent arcade with the usual mix of fighters, redemption, skee ball and shooters. A little sparse on the classics as there was only a reunion cab and that sucker was $1 per play, ouch. No wonder it looked brand new. To my surprise they actually had two pins, a non-working Attack From Mars and a pretty nice, working example of Medieval Madness. It was two tokens per play, but the game was well maintained and played fantastic.

MM is a fun game, even better when you’re the only one around interested in playing it. I must have sunk at least $10 into that game, but I had a blast and so did the kids. If you’re ever in the Hickory Hills area you should stop by and give it a play or two. The MM had a big for sale sign on it if you’ve been looking for one. Only $7000.
